Hardy selected for England

The England eleven to play Ireland at Goodison Park, Liverpool, on February 16, was chosen on Monday, and is as follows: Hardy (Liverpool), goal; Crompton (Blackburn Rovers, captain), and Carr (Newcastle United), backs; Warren (Derby County), Wedlock (Bristol City), and R.M.Hawkes (Luton), halves; Rutherford (Newcastle United), Coleman (Woolwich Arsenal), Hilsdon (Chelsea), Bache (Everton), and H.P.Hardman (Everton), forwards. Reserves: Colin Veitch (Newcastle United), and Thornley (Manchester City). Referee, Mr. T. Robertson (Scotland); linesman, Mr. John Lewis (Blackburn).
Mr.C.J.Hughes will be in charge of the team.
