Filbert Street – Leicester Fosse FC football ground


Saturday, February 2 – 1907
This club was first formed in 1884, playing at different periods at Mill Lane, Belgrave Road, Victoria Park, and Aylestone cricket grounds.

The playing area is 113 yards by 70 yards. The covered stand is 90 yards long, and holds 1,020 people.

The total accommodation of the ground is 17,000.

The largest “gate” recorded was on December 1, this season, when 16,500 attended to witness the club play West Bromwich Albion. The receipts amounted to £421.
