Yesterday two brothers of the captain of the Liverpool Football Club (Alex Raisbeck) left the Landing stage by the Allan liner for Vancouver, and there were many football friends present to give them a hearty send-off. Both William and Andrew Raisbeck have been prominent footballers, though not with the success of the famous “Alec.” William was in his days one of the best half backs in the country. He played with Sunderland. The younger member, Andrew, first played with the Edinburgh Hibernian, and later joined Liverpool. He was first a forward and later a half-back. Until April he had been playing a most useful game for Hull City, and was most popular with the supporters of the club.
