Report speaks highly of an amateur right full-back, who had attached himself to Liverpool Club, and if Harry Wightman, who is aged 21, stands 5ft. 11½in., and weighs 12st. 5lb, is as good as he is big, then we should hear more from him.
He was born in Liverpool, educated at New Brighton High School, and was discovered whilst playing for New Brighton Town Amateurs against the Northern Nomads in a Cup tie last season. He was induced to assist the Liverpool Reserves in some of their concluding games last season, and his play was greatly admired.
