A Liverpool correspondent says: – I am in a position to authoritatively contradict the statement published regarding the health of Alex Raisbeck, the Liverpool F.C. skipper. After reading the sensational news I made inquiries at Anfield and found that instead of Raisbeck being dangerously ill he is practically completely recovered from his recent attack. On Tuesday evening he and Mr. Tom Watson, the Liverpool secretary, were the recipients of bowling prizes. The pair had met in the final of a main at the Sandon Hotel, which the secretary won, Raisbeck securing second prize. There appeared to be little the matter with Raisbeck as he stepped forward to receive his reward. He will not play against Manchester United at Clayton tomorrow, though very probably he will resume play next week.
