Ronald Orr, Newcastle United’s inside left for several season, has been transferred to Liverpool.
Mr. Tom Watson, the secretary of the Merseyside club, completed negotiations for the transfer at the conclusion of the Reserves’ match at Newcastle.
The transfer fee is the limit figure. Other clubs, it is understood, have been in communication with Newcastle for Orr’s services, and representatives of at least one were also present at St. James’s Park.
Orr, who was born in Irvine in 1879, and played for Kilwinning Eglinton and Paisley St. Mirren, joined the Newcastle team in 1901, and until the present term was the regular inside left, though last season he only played in 19 games.
He was capped by Scotland against England in 1902 and 1904.
