Messina Allman transferred to Liverpool

Liverpool yesterday obtained the transfer from Stoke of Messina Allman, a forward, who was only secured by Stoke at the close of last season.

He first took part in serious football as a member of Port Vale, and then went down to the South of England, where he played for Reading, Plymouth Argyle, and Portsmouth.

He fills any of the three inside positions, and has been a prolific goal scorer. He stands 5ft. 8 ½in., and weighs 11st. 8lb.
