Ernest Peake, who has been playing so well for Liverpool Reserves as centre half, has been transferred to centre forward with a view to his inclusion in the first team.
On Saturday week, playing centre forward, he scored two goals and on Saturday last he scored another goal against the Blackburn Rovers. The “Athletic News,” commenting on the last match, states:
“Liverpool’s forward play, however, was vastly superior to that of the home team, Peake in the centre being particularly prominent with his clever dribbling and accurate workmanship.”
It is hoped that the Welsh Selection Committee will not forget him when they are selecting the Welsh international team, as he is a most finished player and well worthy to represent the Principality.
