Friday, April 23 – 1909
The Council of the Football Association decided Friday to delete Rule 31 regarding payment of bonus of £10. It was decided to substitute in Rule 30 that clubs may enter into agreements to register players for one or more seasons.
The Council have practically agreed to the removal of financial restrictions between players and clubs. These matters will have to be approved by the annual meeting.
