The Cunarder Mauretania arrived at New York from Liverpool at 8:45 last night, making a new record for the westward journey by the long route of 4 days 15 hours 55 minutes. Her average speed was 25,84 nautical miles per hour, but for a considerable portion of the voyage the vessel averaged considerably over 26.
