Chelsea at the seaside

January 1, 1910
Since Tuesday night, the Chelsea players have been stationed at Redcar, a well-known resort on the Yorkshire coast, where they prepared for their return League encounter with Newcastle United today. Tonight the men proceed to Lytham in readiness for their match with Liverpool on Saturday next.

The injury received by Ted Birnie in the match against Newcastle on Monday will keep him away from football for some time. Happily, Andrew Ormiston is now well advanced towards recovery, and the cheerful news is also to hand that Ben Warren will soon be well enough to leave St. Thomas’s Hospital.
