Montgomery, the back of the Irvine Meadow XI, who played in the recent junior international trial match, has signed for Liverpool.
Mr. Tom Watson, of the shipping town, saw him play in the trial, and so impressed was the Liverpool official with the lad’s display that negotiations were immediately opened up, with the result that Montgomery is to cross the border.
