The Sunderland F.C. have issued an order that all their professionals shall reside in the town, to obviate the inconvenience of players living a distance away, and the jaded effect of unnecessary travelling to and from. Sunderland will thus have more players on the spot than hitherto, and for this reason are seeking the services of an assistant trainer.
Nine of the professionals are already in the town, and the remainder are expected on Wednesday, with the exception of Tommy Tait, who is in Scotland for another week, and George Holley, who is in South Africa.
