Liverpool had a most excellent season and they are hopeful of still further adding to the reputation of the club this year. They have secured a large number of players.
For goal they have the great Sam Hardy, Gus Beeby, and Peter Malone. At back there are Tom Chorlton, Robert Crawford, Tom Rogers, Billy Dunlop, Alf West, Ephraim Longworth, and Donald Mackinlay. Their half backs are Robert Robinson, Jim Harrop, Ernest Peake, John McConnell, James Bradley, Barney Dillon, and Sam Hignett. Forward they have the services of Arthur Goddard, James Stewart, Jack Parkinson, Ronald Orr, John Macdonald, Harold Uren, Sam Bowyer, James Speakman, Sam Gilligan, Herbert Leavey, and Joe Brough.
It will be seen that Joe Hewitt, Thomas Riley, Bertram Goode, Wallis Dimmock, William Morris and Robert Lawson have not been retained, but with Goddard as captain, and Orr as deputy captain, the side should be well led.
