Old Xaverians (2-3-5): Lockhart; Evans, Wilcock; Kelly, Heaps, Shae; Kilburn, Sweeney, Lunt, McDowell, Wilson.
Liverpool Reserves (2-3-5): Peter Malone; Tom Rogers, Billy Dunlop; Barney Dillon, Sam Hignett, Donald Mackinlay; James Speakman, Herbert Leavey, Connell, Alf Thompson, Harold Uren.
The goals: 0-1 Connell (5 min.), 1-1 Kilburn, 1-2 Leavey, 1-3 Thompson, 1-4 Thompson, 1-5 Speakman. 2nd half goals: Thompson, Speakman, Conell, Uren.

The Anfielders were at Wavertree scoring goals galore against the Old Xaverians. Trials were given to some new players, a centre forward named Connell, and Thompson, inside left. At half-time the score was 5-1 in their favour, and the final figure were 9-2. Thompson scored three goals, Speakman and Connell each two, while Uren and Leavey had each one.
