40,021 was the official attendance at Anfield

October 4, 1910
The exact figures for the match at Anfield on Saturday are now to hand. Mr. Tom Watson informs me that £1,301 4s. 3d. was taken, which represents 40,021 spectators who paid for admission. Of this sum, it is interesting to note that £766 4s. was taken at the six-penny gates and the boys’ entrance, a fact which speaks well for the accommodation at Anfield.
