The Newcastle team to face Liverpool

Thursday, October 20 – 1910
The Newcastle United directors held a meeting last evening and selected their team to meet Liverpool at Newcastle on Saturday. Only one change was made from the side beaten at Manchester, George Wilson being disposed by Jimmy Stewart, who has not been prominent in the Newcastle rank so far this season.

The full team will be: – Jimmy Lawrence; Billy McCracken and Anthony Whitson; Colin Veitch, Wilf Low, and Peter McWilliam; Jock Rutherford, Sandy Higgins, Albert Shepherd, Jimmy Stewart, and Andrew Anderson.

That the match will be a warmly contested one goes without saying, as the sides usually give of their best when the meet. It is not expected that Liverpool will make ant change from the side which did duty last week.
