Liverpool lose out on Greener

Wednesday, November 9 – 1910
As regards the Liverpool team, in view of last Saturday’s brilliant display it is probable that the directors will rely upon the same team for the match at Anfield against the Proud Prestonians, unless in the meantime I have some interesting information for my readers.

Although nothing is to be stated officially, the fact that Liverpool were amongst the clubs anxious to secure Greener is an indication that Mr. Tom Watson has got his eye to the strengthening of the team.

Because Everton have forestalled their friends across the Park in regard to the North Shields players will not be allowed to stand in the way of a further look-out being kept.
