In the Liverpool Reserves team to meet Preston North End Reserves, at Deepdale, many League “stars” are included, while it is a pleasure to welcome the appearance of Scott, who is to fill the right half position.
It will be remembered that this player, of whom very high opinions have been formed, was taken ill at the very commencement of the season, after having played in a friendly game against Tranmere Rovers, against whom he displayed much ability.
He was ill in hospital for six weeks, and after having had a couple of weeks to recuperate now feels fit and well enough to prove his worth.
The team will be Beeby; Rogers and Chorlton; Scott, Peake, and Mackinlay; Speakman, J. Stewart, Gilligan, Brough, and Leavey.
