Liverpool are again called on to travel, this time to Gigg-lane. After their defeat at Oldham the “Reds” are sure to do their utmost to gain the points from Bury. Just now Hibbert’s men are rather uncertain, and even the crack marksman himself has been failing with penalty kicks. The “Reds” are playing the same team as last week, with the exception that Orr comes in as partner to Uren instead of Bowyer. The position of the Liverpool club is serious, and it is necessary to make a big effort to get out of the rut into which they have fallen. They may gain a couple of points at Bury’s expense to-morrow, but they will have to fight hard for them.
Beeby retains his place, and together with Longworth and Crawford is playing a highly finished game.
The following is the team: – Beeby, Longworth, Crawford, Robinson, Harrop, McConnell, Goddard, Stewart, Parkinson, Orr, Uren. The kick-off is timed for 2:15.
