After two weeks’ absence Liverpool resume their home fixtures on Saturday, Sheffield United being the visitors to Anfield, when the kick-off is timed for 2.15. It is hoped that the Reds will make an effort to improve their position.
Sam Hardy, who has been absent from the team since November 5, when the Reds drew with Middlesbrough, is to return to the field, the international having recovered from the strain sustained.
Gus Beeby has filled the breach in fine style, but Hardy at his best ought to strengthen the defence. Sheffield United are amongst the teams who have been performing erratically, but they gained a good win on Saturday, and they are pretty certain to provide opposition of the sternest description.
