December 31, 1910
Wallys Smith, who hails from Bootle, and who at one time played in a few games for Liverpool Reserves, is at present doing good work for Chester in the Lancashire Combination.

When with Liverpool he was regarded as a centre-forward, but with his present club Smith occupies the inside right berth.

Smith is a clever player, standing 5ft. 7in. in height, and turns the scale at 11 stone.

He has assisted Bradford City, Huddersfield, and Southend, and last season he scored 32 goals for Huddersfield.
