** In the 1911 Census, Janet is 45 years old and widowed. She lives at 35, Shepley Street, in Byker with her children: Maggie (21), Willie (19), John (17), Emma (15) and Laura (13). Janet’s birthplace is given as Kilmarnock, Scotland.
