The death of Harry Nicholl

The death is announce of Harry Nicholl, one of the best-known Irish International half backs of recent years. Whilst playing for Belfast Celtic F.C. he was signed on by Mr. Tom Watson, the Liverpool club’s secretary, and later for a couple of seasons he played for Third Lanark. As a half-back he had no superior in Irish football when at his best. Nicholl’s death was due to an attack of typhoid fever.
