Wallis Smith, the Chester inside right, was transferred last night to Bury. The fee, though not definitely stated, is understood to be considerable. Two Bury directors saw him play against Hyde on Saturday, when he scored two goals, and then commenced negotiations.
Smith, who joined Chester last season from Southend United, Liverpool, is 23 years of age, stands 5 feet 7 inches, and weighs over 11 st., and is a native of Bootle.
He will play for Bury against Everton on Saturday.

Note: Since Southend United were not a member of the Football League at the time Liverpool kept his player registration form. This was a normal procedure to do when players were transferred between clubs in the Football League and the Southern League.
