Alex Thomson transferred to Liverpool

June 8, 1912
Liverpool Football Club on Saturday signed on Alex Thomson, centre-forward, of the East Stirlingshire Club. Thomson has been angled after by several clubs, and Liverpool were fortunate to secure his services. He has been amongst the leading scorers in the Second Division of the Scottish League for two seasons, and should prove a great acquisition to the Anfielders, who were weak forward last season.
