Manchester United directors are deep in negotiations with the Trafford Park estate and the local tramway authorities with a view to widening the bridge that leads on to the ground from the Manchester side, and also to effecting an entrance direct from the Salford side. The scheme includes the making of a large tramway siding at the football ground to which the Salford cars could run direct.
Several important conferences on the matter have taken place, and we understand there is every reason to believe that the improvement will be effected during the coming season. The Salford Tramway officials believe that the alteration would make a great difference to the attendance from their side of the city.
