James McGaffny, of Annabank, has signed for Liverpool which will doubtless be disappointing news to not a few clubs who were keen on securing his services.
McGaffney, a well-built lad, is a clever inside right, and should do well in England. It may be mentioned, too, that he is a cousin of the old Sunderland player, James Miller.
