Some critics in Manchester are making a great song over the feat of Fred Howard, the ex-Wakden Central amateur centre forward, in scoring four goals for Manchester City in the League match with Liverpool at Hyde Road. One writer declares that for a player to score four goals in his first League game is without a parallel in the history of soccer.
