The annual general meeting of the Football League was held at the Imperial Hotel, Russell-square, London, yesterday, Mr. John McKenna, Liverpool, presiding over representatives from every club. At the outset, the Chairman called upon Mr. Taylor to receive, on behalf of Sunderland, the Challenge Cup and medals that accompanied the winning of the First Division, Mr. Taylor making a suitable response. Mr. John Lewis asked Mr. Tom Ord, on behalf of Preston North End, to accept the shield and medals for winning the Championship of the Second Division.
