William Macpherson in high estee

October 10, 1913
William Macperson (late of Hearts and Glasgow Rangers) entertained a few friends to dinner on Monday night in the Caledonia Inn, Beith, on the occasion of his leaving for the Colonies. Among the guests was James Galt (Rangers), one of his old club-mates. During the evening, Mr. John E. Hood, on behalf of the company, presented mine host with a silver cigarette case and match box, as a small taken of the high esteem in which Willie is held.
