Charles Duffy transferred to Liverpool

May 6, 1914
Liverpool, who go on the Continent to-morrow, have signed on a former collier in Charles Duffy, who can take any half-back position, but prefers the centre-half berth. He is a sturdy fellow, and has been highly recommended by men who have been through the football mill. He is twenty four years old, stands 5ft. 9½in. in height, and weighs 11st. 10lb. He has been playing with Stirling F.C., and has captained the side. Last season he did not miss one match for them.
