Arthur Goddard transferred to Cardiff

May 8, 1914
There are some interesting items of news this day. First Arthur Goddard has signed for Cardiff City, and he should do the Welsh-men proud. I told you, after seeing Wales and England play at Cardiff, that the Cardiff club had done wonderfully when the odds were against them, and said that they had been enterprising, and had shown judgment in this, their latest move, they have shown business acumen. Goddard will be a draw to Cardiff, and will do them well. He has football in him, and his style will delight the patrons of the club. He goes into good company, for Cardiff’s trainer is George Latham, the Welsh international, and former Liverpool player.
