Liverpool F.C. have the satisfaction of knowing that they head the clubs of the country in trial games’ receipts, a sum of £241 18s being the outcome of their three games. The amount is exceptionally good, and the club’s followers will have pleasure in realising that the War Relief Fund has benefited by so nice a sum.
The directors, players, and staff of the Anfield organisation are subscribing weekly a sum to the War Fund, and the directors have already considered the amount of their gift to the War Fund. There is no doubt that they will do the best in their power, and by their three-fold assistance (trial games, weekly sub., and gift) the club will have done its utmost in the great cause.
