Four local football warriors
Above we give a photograph of four Black Watch Territorials (three of whom belong to Callander), who are presently undergoing training with their battalion at Dunkeld.
They are all well-known former footballers in the district, and if they fight the Germans as ardently and skilfully as they chased the leather in their day they will do all right.
They are, reading from left to right – Private A. Collier, Rob Roy (Callander) and King’s Park F.C. (Stirling): Private J. Law, Rob Roy and Vale of Teith F.C.: Private J. Adie, Crieff Morrisonians F.C.; Private D. Henderson, Rob Roy, Liverpool F.C., and King’s Park F.C.
To trade Private Collier is a mason, Private Law a tailor, and Private Henderson a plumber.
