Motor-cycle accident for John Hampson

August 7, 1915
John Hampson, the Leeds City half-back, had an exciting experience during the week, for, whilst proceeding with a motor-cycle and side-car to Aberystwyth with his brother and a friend, the machine skidded whilst turning a sharp corner at Oswestry, and, dashing into a wall, was completely wrecked. Hampson’s brother sustained serious injury to his legs, and was removed to hospital, but his companion escaped with bruises.
