Clapton Orient’s balance-sheet has not yet been issued, but the loss last season was rougly £1,800. As regards the prospects for the coming season, eight or nine of the first team professionals, together with several capable reserves, are in the Footballers’ Battalion, and they will not be available, but a team will be got together.
At present the ground is used as a naval air station, but the playing of football will not be interfered with on this account.
