Liverpool attraction for their first appearance is Manchester City, and as both sides are drawing well, the game and gate should be excellent.
Liverpool has a chance of seeing one of her sons, Alex McGhie, in the outside right position. McGhie is one of a number of Liverpool fellows allowed to pass to Blackburn, and it is a pity the Kirkdale boy did not get recognition here. However, we’ll have our chance now of showing appreciation, for Simpon’s frequently-called-upon deputy is to be seen at Anfield.
Interest in such men as Dai Williams and the second Sandy (Henderson) will all help to make for interest in the match v. Manchester City.
Liverpool. – Kenneth Campbell, Ephraim Longworth, Sam Speakman, James Scott, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay, Alex McGhie, David “Dai” Williams, Fred Pagnam, James Henderson, James Dawson.
