Wadsworth replaces injured Molyneux

October 1, 1915
Of the Liverpool match it is hard to say anything this day on account of he lack of knowledge of the team Preston North End will play. They have called back such old stalwarts as Lyon, and that shows North End as in anything but a proud state.

The team has a deserted appearance, and is doing badly, as I stated yesterday, and if they cannot get a team together till the last moment of a home match then it is wise that the authorities step in and try to make arrangements, so that the North End Club shall be helped to keep their fixture list.

All this points to a second victory to Liverpool, whose side, note, is winged by Pinkney, Wadsworth taking the centre half place through Molyneux’s injury. I think Liverpool have a very useful chance of gaining full points.

Liverpool. – Kenneth Campbell, Ephraim Longworth, James Middlehurst, Thomas Fairfoull, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay, Ernest Pinkney, William Banks, Fred Pagnam, James Henderson, James Dawson.
