The death of George Bradley (killed in action)

October 7, 1915
Three members of the Ormskirk Territorials (9th King’s Liverpools) have fallen in action. Lance-corporal George Bradley died as a result of wounds. He was a well known footballer, having played for Ormskirk, and latterly Chester. He also had a trial for Liverpool, and apparently was assured of a successful football career.

He was twenty-three years of age, and lived with his widowed mother at Aughton, near Ormskirk. His brother, Private Richard Bradley, is also at the front.
