Ernest Peake returns to Mersey City

November 23, 1915
Ernest Peake has returned to Liverpool, and will probably accept an invite to play for his old club Liverpool. Peake, after serving Liverpool well for some seasons as deputy to Jim Harrop, was granted a free transfer, and went to Scotland – to Hearts, was it not?

He had a two years’ agreement, but that was, of course, broken when war broke out. Peake as a consequence has returned to the Mersey City, and if he gets a game at Anfield he’ll also get a hearty reception.
