Everton’s former captain breaks a rib

November 30, 1915
News is to hand that Everton’s former captain, Jimmy Galt, now a sergeant in a motor transport section of the Army, has broken a rib when playing football.

He was to have assisted Fulham on Saturday, and during the week he took part in one of the regimental matches at Bisley – hence his injury.

He will be out of football for some weeks.
