Coldstream Band to play at the front

January 3, 1916
The band of the Coldstream Guards, now playing at the Liverpool Olympia circus, is to give music to the “boys of the Guards” now in the trenches at the close of their Liverpool engagement.
The bands of the four Guards regiments have all to pay a visit to the battlefields where Guardsmen are fighting, and the turn of the Coldtstream will come with the close of the circus. This visit to the front will coincide with the completion by Captain J. Mackenzie-Rogan, the band’s conductor, of fifty years’ service with regimental bands.
