Liverpool Football Club decided on an ambulance in order that a needed gift should be made swiftly. The generosity of our clubs has already been made known, and I think special emphasis should be placed on the fact that the players of the clubs have made these gifts possible.
The players deserve our best thanks for their loyalty and devotion. On Saturday shareholders of the Liverpool Football Club are asked to assemble at the billiard-room of the Anfield Club and subscribe towards the ambulance fund.
