New scheme for Amusement Tax

June 14, 1916
The Football Association has issued a memorandum to its clubs on this subject, enclosing a copy of the Act, the leaflets issued on the subject, and form of application to pay the duty on the basis of certified returns, with a specimen for of the bond for payment of the duty. This latter method will probably be found more convenient to clubs having large numbers of spectators than the use of either Government tickets or adhesive stamps for use on the club’s own tickets.
