South Liverpool helps out Liverpool

South Liverpool is becoming Liverpool F.C.’s nursery, as Stourbridge used to be the nursery for Aston Villa footballers. After Bennett, the successful centre, has thrown in his lot with Liverpool, South have loaned the club Jenkinson, the full back, and Tom Page, the ex-Everton and Paisley St. Mirren forward.

At Oldham, to-morrow, the Liverpool side is: – A. S. Tranger; Ephraim Longworth, Billy Jenkinson; John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay; Norman Bradley, Tom Page, Tommy Bennett, Arthur Metcalf, and Tommy Cunliffe. Billy Murphy goes as reserve.

On Monday, Everton v. Liverpool, collections for the blind soldiers made £17 7s 1d, to which the club added £25 (total £42 7s 1d). Liverpool and Southport, on Tuesday, realised over £8 footballs for soldiers and sailors).
