Tommy Lucas, who was away last week, was down with “flu.” His deputy, Billy Jenkinson, who reminds one much of Percy Saul, the old Liverpool back, who now helps Rotherham, played a capital game.
I ran across “young Tom,” otherwise Sergeant Tom Watson, this week. He has been home on leave, in view of his mother’s illness. I am sorry to heat that the former secretary’s wife has been ill and am glad to learn that she shows much improvement this week.
