Liverpool bring on another new name

March 29, 1917
Once again Liverpool F.C. bring to us a new name – Lees. What the club will do for a goalkeeper is hard to say, but Bennett’s loss is made good by the transference of Metcalf to centre forward. In view of the defeat of Everton at Stockport, Liverpool must look out for a squally afternoon.

Tommy Haughton, who played last week against Rochdale, may not be able to turn out, as Grayson’s require him.

Liverpool. – A.N. Other, Ephraim Longworth, Tommy Lucas, John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay, Arthur Goddard, Jack Lees, Arthur Metcalf, Harry Lewis, and Tommy Cunliffe.
