Historic double meeting for Liverpool and Everton

April 4, 1917
Everton and Liverpool for the first time in their history will meet in successive days – Friday and Saturday. One match is a friendly; the other a subsidiary competition. The holiday crowds will be big, and the games promise to be on the usual clean and capital lines.
