Liverpool’s latest recruits

April 7, 1917
Liverpool had two recruits helping them at Stockport. Tommy Haughton, who kept goal the previous week also, was born at Runcorn, and formerly helped Prescot Wire Works. He is now engaged at Grayson’s engineering works, and plays for one of their teams over in Birkenhead.

A. Lee, who appeared at inside right, hails from Altrincham, and has excellent credentials as a bustling forward. Verily, our locals are making fame for themselves; this is one of the brightest signs of the times.
